Another card for grandma

Inside

This is the card I made for my grandmother from my husband and me. I used a 12X12 piece of paper cut down to 12X5 1/4 inches. I then scored my card at 3" and 7.5" and fold it at the score marks. I cut the CAC owl at 3 3/4" and the accessory at 2 1/2". For the flowers I used the zebra accessory and cut it twice at 2 3/4" and once at 3 3/4". The base is 4 1/4 X 5" with a 1 1/2" X 5" strip and a 1"X5" strip punched with an EK success punch. Racoon phrase cut fit to length 1 3/4" to provide a base for MPS punny-licious whoooo loves you stamp. The picture is cut at 3 3/4"X3 1/4". The WE DO is cut from Lyrical Letters using the Jumbo creative feature key and cut at 1/2". Inside the card is the sentiment Happy Birthday cut from CAC bear phrase at 1 1/2".

Big card for Grandma

This is the first of many projects I put together for my Grandmother's 80th birthday party. This card was actually conceptualized by my younger sister. She also helped me make the card. I don't think she caught the bug, but she at least enjoyed the experience. We used Forever Young for the girls (cut at 5 inches) and Plantin Schoolbook end caps for the names (cut at 1/2 inch I believe). We had to use 12X24" paper cut down to 18X10". We had to put together two pieces of card stock to create a back for the card but the final dimensions of the card I think were 18X10". The card was passed around to all our cousins at the party to sign and it was presented to my Grandmother later during the party.

Fun organizing project

In an attempt to get my apt organized I got myself motivated through a craft project. I always have mail everywhere so I decided to create a mail center with a trash can for all my junk mail and a container for my bills. Here is the result

Materials
wood box (5X5" joanns)

paint (green for the inside of the box)
assorted cardstock
CAC cartridge
Peachy Keen stamps Everyday Faces assortment (optional)
Modge Podge
foam paint brushes and 1 popsicle stick

Cuts

Special Delivery cut at 2" twice without shift and twice with shift
Base four pieces of cardstock cut at 5X5"
Mail box cut at 2 1/4" twice-base and layer 2 were the only layers cut
Snail cut at 3 1/2" twice-the base and layers 2 and 3 were the only layers cut

Paper
Base: K*i memories "my girl glitter", core'dinations whitewash: green
Special delivery: core'dinations whitewash green, DCWV red #3
Snail: DCWV red#3, core'dinations core essentials in black and magenta
Mailbox: DCWV red #3, core'dinations core essentials magenta

Instructions

1. Paint the inside of the box your desired colors and allow to dry while you work on the rest of the project.
2. Cut base layers at 5X5". Also cut all the cricut cuts at the above dimensions and assemble all layers and arrange on base sheets of cardstock. Glue down with preferred adhesive.
3. Apply modge podge to 1 side of box and put cardstock base (with cricut cuts already glued down) onto the box. Smooth out all wrinkles using popsicle stick. Repeat on all 4 sides

4. Apply 1 layer of modge podge over top of the 4 decorated sides of the box. Remove as much excess modge podge as possible with brush and smooth the finish out as much as possible. Tip: do 2 sides at a time then allow dry before doing the other 2.
5. Allow project to dry, put bills in place and enjoy!

Bird-day card

Cards for my coworkers

I made these cards for two of my coworkers who were both honored during nurses week at our hospital for their outstanding care, leadership, and precepting.

NSD PS challenge #4

I made this card for one of the PS NSD challenges. It was the I like you the least challenge and I used Pink Journey Solutions cartridge. Funny enough since using this cartridge for this challenge I have started using it more often. It has a lot of pretty images that I have come to like.

NSD PS challenge #1

This is a card I made for the "Mother Dear" challenge over at Pink Stamper. It is a card for my mom, who is a nurse, for nurses appreciation week. May 6-12. I used Every Day Paper Dolls. I make a lot of nurse cards for my coworkers so this cartridge gets A LOT of use.

I made this card for the teacher appreciation challenge. My sister is a special education teacher so this gave me a perfect opportunity to make her a card. I sent it to her along with a starbucks gift card tucked in the slot behind the chalk board.

This is a scrapbook page I made for the take shape challenge. I really liked this challenge since it made me approach my scrapbook layout differently by using a shape as the main focus.

Get well soon Minnie card

I made this card for my sister when she got her wisdom teeth out. She liked it a lot!

Minnie and Mickey get married

I made this card for a family friend who was getting married. It is featured in Pink Stamper's gallery. I used The mickey and friends cart for mickey and minnie and then cut the bride and groom from SYI twice (once in black for the hat and once in white for the veil). I can't remember the sizes anymore. I used paper from the DCWV sweet stack, white glitter cardstock, and some other assorted cardstock I had on hand. The ribbon is from Michaels.
